The UK car registration figures for 2013 are now out – and sales have reached their highest figure since 2007. But what’s hot, and what’s not? Some types of car are selling better than ever, while others have nosedived.
Audi are planning a ‘Plus’ model of the new RS6 Avant which will come with around 600bhp and be a full production model. Just as they have with the launch of the TT RS Plus, Audi are planning to give the new RS6 Avant even more power than it already enjoys in an RS6 Avant Plus model, and it won’t be a limited edition model but a full production option. Talking to Car Magazine, Stephan Reil, Audi Quattri Division boss, said that Audi were planning a range of RS Plus models which could get not just a performance boost but less weight too.
With entertainer Jay Leno acting as host, Jaguar has taken all of the cloaks off the redesigned XJ sedan. Jaguar said the new XJ will go on sale in the United States in December and will carry a base price of $72,500, including shipping charges. The new XJ will be sold in standard- and long-wheelbase versions.
